    temp and humidity??????

    so just got 2 new balls been worried sick what is the temp they should be at and what is the humidity supposed to be at. Im using a 60 gal for one and a 20 for the other. Cypress mulch as substrate. got 2 hides in each and a piece of grapevine and a water bowl.


    ONE what is the optimum temp gradient- im using a undertank heater

    TWO what humidity supposed to be at and how do i keep it there

    for balls an area around 95 degrees - can be as high as 99 AT pad - they dont burrow much - then a gradient to 85 - then ambient can be at 72-75 or so it can be done with uths - no light necessary - it works well for me

    so i have one side at 90 and the other at 78 so do i need 2 heating pads??????

    warm room works too... 2 UTH works as well but you need a thermostat for each then. You really should have something controlling the UTH personally I trust Herpstat although the helix is also very good too.
