Corn Snake bellies

I bred a normal male to a snow and got a few snows, an amel, an anery, and some normals. One normal popped out pretty light in comparison to his/her siblings. Here is a comparison of the lighter corn and a sibling.

And since the lighting is a little off for those two pictures to get a good comparison, here is the only picture of the lighter corn in with some siblings. You can see his/her head poking out and you can see how much lighter he/she is.


Yesterday, while I was cleaning their tubs, I noticed that the belly checkers on each normal. The normal sibling has the usual black checkers. The lighter sibling has flames on his/her checkers, just like Dad. Here is a picture of the father's flames to give you an idea.



I kept the lighter corn back as I wanted to see if he/she developed to resemble the father more (lighter, very little black). Little did I know she had the belly flames too.

What are your thoughts on the flames? I'm a beginner with corn genetics so I'm pretty sure it means nothing. I just found it interesting.

Unfortunately its nothing. That is quite common in corns. I'd also wager that after a few more sheds, the "darker" sibs will look more like the lighter one. Sometimes colors come in faster or slower for certain snakes. Usually after a few sheds, they're mostly looking more or less the same.

Thanks! All of them are eating like little machines and growing. I don't even know how many sheds I've pulled out of their tubs so far. The little snow is still needing to be hand fed but he is growing steadily.
