She really likes her cold hide...

Lately I've noticed shes been spending a lot of time in her hide on the cold side of the tank. I know I shouldn't be concerned, but from what I've read, snakes like the belly heat, so I'm a bit concerned. Her hot hide with the UTH is reading around 90 degrees and doesnt change.

Is this something I need to worry about? Or does it have something to do with breeding season? I just got her weighed in today at 550g on an empty stomach before I fed her,(she's exactly one year old this month), so I know I can't breed her yet.

Do you have the same hide on both sides because sometimes they will choose a preferred hide over the correct temperature. If they are the same don't worry about it.

wow this is the exact same thing thats happening to me, even if the temp on the cold side drops to around 74F my snake still is in the hide on that side and I didnt see him leave that hide once tonight to regulate his body.
