    An escape artist!!!!

Well it happened I had an escape... again my spider got out of his feeding tub in my room and now I can't seem to find him I tore up the room up until 2:30 am this morning with no luck... I think he may have escaped into the rest of the house, where should I begin looking? Btw im at my parents because they are moving out and leaving me the house to take over and if my mom knew that a snake was loose shed probly have a heart attack. So where should I begin my search? There are boxes all over the house 85% taped up for the move so any help would be awesome!

    Re: An escape artist!!!!

Mine got out once and found him up in the cushion of the couch. Crazy guy did all that while I was at work. I now have custom cages for them, never realized how strong he was. If the rooms are relatively cold I would check places like the floor board heaters or things that may be giving out heat.

    Re: An escape artist!!!!

I have heard and used loud music with lots of base to chase them into the center of a room. It worked for me once took about an hour of loud heavy base music but they try to get away from the vibration and move away from everything usually the center of the room.

I guess you learned your lesson the hard way about not to leave a ball python alone while eating especially when feeding in a seperate tub! Glad you found him and he is okay!

    Re: An escape artist!!!!

Just a heads up...once a BP learns how to get out of an enclosure, they don't forget. Unless it is modified, it will escape the same way again.
