Deal fell through ? reimbursement
So I had paid for a snake through my pay pal account and the deal fell through meaning no snake for me. Which the seller and I decided was for the best BUT he hasn't reimbursed me yet. I found out last Tuesday the deal was off. He said he would reimburse me on Friday. Nothing back yet. So Emailed him on Friday No response. Emailed him again on Saturday and he emailed back saying that emailing him would not get our money back in our account any sooner???? On Sunday Still no money... What should I do how long should I wait to complain to either my credit card company or pay pal and is pay pal guaranteed? And how do I go about this. Thanks

It is the weekend and may not have access to the computer. Just file a claim on paypal and itll lock his account and that will get his attention as soon as he gets on the computer.

The bottom line is if the deal falls through the money should be reimbursed IMMEDIATELY not 2 or 3 or 4 days later.
Go to your Paypal account click on Resolution Center and Click Dispute a transaction, they will wait for an answer on his part however if this is not resolve you will be able to escalate and get your money back (Very likely) on his end they will freeze his account until resolved if you escalate the dispute.
In my opinion if you open a dispute he will likely reimburse you than before it goes further.
Also tell to him that if you do not get your money back soon you will have no choice than start a thread on the BOI http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/foru...splay.php?f=13 (might help too)
Did you research the seller prior to buying from him?

No disrespect at all intended, Rich, because you are a good guy. However the seller's comment alone was very disrespectful to the buyer, they should of refunded the money right there since they were on the computer to obviously send the e-mail...
I would suggest making a complaint through pay-pal and contacting your credit card company as soon as possible, I wouldn't wait for the seller's next reply. Being that rude, I am sure they are in no rush to send you the money, if they intend to return it at all. Don't wait... you may not be able to get the money back if you wait too long. Sorry you didn't have a good experience.

I just made my reply short and sweet. By filing the claim like i stated itll get his attention on computer with the email. When logging into paypal he will see his account is frozen. There for has to make contact with buyer or refund the money.
I was in no way justifying what he said or did to be good practice. Sometimes that Claim email is enough to get them in gear do fix it.

I did research the seller but there wasnt a whole lot on him. I am disputing on paypal and with my credit card company and I emailed him telling him that I am doing it and that I hope I dont have to take it any further. I am not quite ready to post on fauna yet just because if it is something stupid I dont want to ruin someones rep but believe me I will if I dont get the money back. Thanks for all the ideas and how to guys... I knew you guys would come through!!!

It's a good thing you did research, it does make all the difference. But sometimes there are still some people that can lay low enough reputation wise, meaning they don't have either a good or bad reputation, that will take the opportunity to get the upper hand and scam you. Paying with pay-pal is the safest way to go about any purchase, whether you know the person or not. I hope it all works for you, I've been scammed a few times, even by someone who had a good reputation, but I hope this all works out for you.
Hopefully with you notifying him that you are disputing the payment through pay-pal and through your credit card company, your seller will give it up. I would say wait a week or so to see if your seller gives a response or gives you a refund. If there is any reply like the one stated above, in my opinion, it shows they don't care and if it were me, I'd post negative feedback on www.faunaclassifieds.com and here in the inquiry section. However, if they are to just refund the money, I'd drop the whole fight, but I wouldn't take a chance buying from them again.

Does this email to the seller sound threatening?
After all that I've said about this reimbursement thingie does this email sound threatening?
"Hi,
We bought the male caramel albino from
you. There should be no reason that we should not have been

Nope, that is a polite e-mail notifying the seller of what you are going to do. In no way is that threatening in my opinion. I take it the seller is still fighting you about it?
