    Humidity and temp

So currenty my ball is in a 20 gallon long, the problem im having it that with only an UTH my warm side is fine my cold side is fine and my humidity is perfect 55-60, but my ambient air maxes out at 80 degrees during the day and is dropping to 73-74 at night generally stays 77-79 during day hrs, i added a CHE over the water bowl area and it raised the temps but is killing my humidity in about 20 min it was down to 42, so i either have good humidity and lower temps if i do nothing, yes i did the aluminum foil thing, or have low humidity and good temps if i leave the CHE, what would u do?

ya my ambient drops that low at night too but my warm side stays at 90 and the cool side stays about 76-78 in the hide so i dont worry about it. if shes cold she'll stay on the warm side. i wouldnt worry about it.

    Re: Humidity and temp

    Hi,

You ideally don't want the ambients or the cool end to drop below 78f if you can and really don't want them below 75f.

Have either of you insulated the sides, back and bottom of yout tanks to try and keep more of the heat in?

This can avoid having to use the lights and CHE's that murder humidity.
