    Maybe a keeper?

I'm thinking about keeping this guy. I'm not sure what color he is. Sometimes his coat looks more gray, sometimes more brown? He has a cute wavy coat. The last thing I need is another male. LOL I think I'm cursed. All of my really cute rat babies are boys. Does anyone else have that problem?

Lol well he truly is adorable! I'm glad I'm not breeding rats, because I would end up with maybe 8 new pets and one feeder at the end of the day!

Besides, you're lucky they're all males. They have the best temperament IMO.

    Re: Maybe a keeper?

I seem to make more "pretty boys" lately also, lol, not sure what's up with that

That is an interesting color, what color are his eyes if I may ask?
The top picture makes it look beige but the bottom looks like a mink or chocolate type coloring which is a dilute I believe, which is why I ask what the eye color is

Nice Rex male!! That is one awesome color. I also found all my awesome keepers were males.

Thanks for the input! I'm glad I'm not the only one making pretty boys. LOL

His Eyes appear to be black. Here are a few more pictures of some of the litter.

The middle pic shows orange hairs sticking out which makes me think they are agouti combos.
Was one of the parents an agouti coat?
I think the dark one is agouti blue.

Well, it looks like a lilac mouse. Which is basically a blue, diluted by a chocolate carrier.

I don't know if it works the same way in rats, but that's what it looks like to me.

I don't think I could end up doing my own breeding. I'd never be able to kill them, even though I understand they're feeders. LOL
