hey i was just wondering my bp has just had her first shed whilst i have had her and it has gone good (besides the fact i cant seem to find the shed....anywhere) but she has one bit of shed left on her head, she is only three months old so im sure you can judge the sive of the piece of shed i am explaining it covers half her head aswell as one eye i want to do the whole process of filling a container but am worried about doing this as its on her head, im guessing her head wont make much contact with the tepid is it still worth a go or is there another way of trying to get the shed off

Just fill a closed container with warm water not to hot and let the snake soak for 20 minutes or so, the moisture should help the skin come off with ease.

It's actually a better idea to make sure the water ( about 85f ) is only deep enough to come half way up the snakes body.

The effect is exactly the same but there are a few less possible problems.

well her whole body went the greyish colour including the blue to both eyes and the next day when i looked she was back to her normal colour except half her head and one eye.... i jus think its really odd....she has got a really busy tank but i still would of thought that i would be able to find it lol

You don't lose a shed. You're right, you would be able to find it if your snake had actually shed.

My snake went from grey back to normal-ish for a few days before going really grey and finally shedding for real.

It's kind of hard to explain this, but trace the edge of the snake's shed. It should form a circle around either the clear eye or the still unshed eye. If the circle connects and includes the uncovered eye, then the shed is gone off the rest of the snake. If the circle connects and it's around the uncovered eye, then that means the shed has only happened around the one eye.

As for getting the shed off. At that size, what I did was use one of those flat plastic chinese food containers. Fill it with warm water and put a face cloth inside. the towel hold the moisture, but prevents the risk of drowning and lets the snake rest on it if need be.

My first shed was a bad one and she just couldn't get it started. It was coming up at the nose, but she couldn't get it past that. After doing this, I took the face cloth and slowly sharted to roll it back by catching the shed for her. Yours may not appreciate the facial attention, but after struggling for a week or so, mine was willing to let me help.

Edit: The other possibility is that the shed hasn't started at all. They go blue then back to normal before really beginning the shed. You may have just caught your snake halfway through going back to normal.
