    do i need a uth

so ive had my bp for about 3 months and am still learning. my problem that i have is with the temp. i have a 10 gal. tank with a red heat lamp and the temp is between 87-89 during the day and at night it gets between 90-92. the cool side is always around 84-85 and ive read tht the cool side should be 80-82 and warm side 90-92 so i dont know if this is bad or not or if i need a uth to raise temp a little...also contantly misting to keep humidity up.

You're having to constantly mist because the lamp is sucking all the humidity out of the tank.

UTH's aid in digestion, and since ball pythons are nocturnal, they really do not require overhead lighting/heating.

    Hope this helps!

What are you using to measure your temperatures?
