    Ghost, clown, etc.?

I see a lot of Fauna classifieds ads for "het ghosts" and "het clowns". Are these morphs co-dominant (visual hets) or recessive (non visual hets)?
Hope I got the terms right.
Also, anyone have a good website of ball python morph "recipes", and which ones are recessive or co-dominant? I'd like to get to know which ones are which.
    Thanks a lot.
    2.3 normal ball pythons

when people say something is het, its usually a recessive gene, even tho all co-doms can be hetrozygous, when its a co-dom gene people just call it the name.

    hypo and clowns are recessive

lesser is co-dom and hetrozygous, but people just call em lessers.

im sure others can give you a good site, after a while you just learn em all lol

    Re: Ghost, clown, etc.?

Yes, they mean recessive non-visual hets. The only het that is visual is the het red axanthic. It is actually a co-dom morph, this can be very confusing. If you search morph calculator on google there are several that will clear this up for you. Also, I think nerd has a section in their web site that goes over the different morphs.
    Currently have
    2.3 pastel's
    0.1 spider
    0.1 normal
    1.1 100% het albino's
1.0 Albino ( he will live at work but i get to take care of him)
    1.0 Cinnamon
    1.0 Fire

Het is short for heterozygous, which means the snake is carrying one copy of the gene. Generally this is referring to a recessive trait as others have mentioned but isn't limited to it. As an example, a pastel is the heterozygous form of the pastel gene, while a super pastel is the homozygous form -- meaning it carries two copies of the gene.

kinda of a bad calc to show someone new, doesn't add %'s and doesn't do alleles, we've had a few people completly confused by it lol.
