    Panel heat for Dumerils?

Im buying a new setup that comes with a RBI heat panel, herpstat etc. I am also looking into buying a Dumerils boa and was told from the reptile store here that i could use the panel for heat instead of a UTH. Is this correct?

Yes. I use heat panels for all of my 4 foot cages. They work great.

Can you still get a cooler temp on the opposite side? Wouldent the heat panel heat the whole thing?

Yes, the heat panel heats the entire cage, but it heats the spot right under the panel more than the oposite side of the enlosure. For example, in a 70 F room, my cool side is at 80 F and my hot side is at 90 F. Heat panels are great for a cage that is kept in a cool / non-heated room.

Ok thx, what about humidity for the dums. Every care sheet I look at is different, some say 60-70, and some say 45-55. Mine is around 70 now.
