yes mean it like that.
Someone should draw their own opinion about another person if thats what you mean.
no dont think it would need to be done with every morph as after all a ball python is a ball python no-matter what it looks like color morph wise.
a good sized group of lets say 100 to 200 would be enough to get a general base group findings seen on somebodies signature where there is a program that lets you keep very detailed info on many snakes.
and they should be broken down even further to groups that for food 1 group gets just mice whole life. second group gets just rats whole life. 3rd group gets just asf whole life 4th group gets a varied diet. and a couple from each groups gets vitamins and minerals added to a couple of there prey doing that and records to show which works best for longest life of our pets or breeders we are in the 21 century yet we are still not applying any new things to our hobby well other then using incubators(whoopty do) and making fancier cages and thermometers and such. and with as long as people have been keeping ball pythons there has had to be a few people who were anal about keeping records in the beginning would think even more so with all the morphs and such now if they got 100 to 200 and tried to see what truly works best for the snake not what is easiest on our pocket books to feed them I've seen people spend a few hundred bucks just on a cage for a 20 dollar regular (i myself in the past alway built cage myself) but thinking about going with totes cause how cheap they are and can build a rack system way cheaper then any other option to keep more then a few snakes in
i just like to argue and get you riled up dont take it to mean i dont like you or what I'm agueing about. I'm doing it for the joy of argueing dont anybody like good old fashion debates

Yeah but what about the idea of spiders and head wobble. And to rule out any variation that might relate to morphs they would have to do it with each morph in the exact same situation as a normal, and then do all the different variations like food items...
But good luck finding someone to do that. Not something I would want to do. They eat anything they can. I dont think the type of rodent is going to make any difference (and just because its easy doesnt mean its not the right thing to do)
If anything they would just analyze the food items since thats basically all your talking about doing, besides temps throughout the life span, humidity...
I think people already treat their snakes like its going to die if everything isnt perfect. Temps and such in the wild are never perfect...

i mean just using the normals to get a base to start from cause lets face it with all the morphs it would be near impossible to do
as for food wouldn't you like to see some actual proof of what works best i know i would it would stop allot of fights. not just the old speech snakes have been eating mice in cbb breed for 30+ years i mean actual proof from testing showing what type or combo of foods worked best for the snake. could just be the way i was brought up to question stuff that aint got actual proof showing (yeah it might be common place but common place don't mean it is right) like just for example lets say a ball that eats nothing but mice whole group lives 20 to 22 year where ones that eat rats lived 24 to 26 years and ones that ate asf lived a Lil over 30 years. then if they lived longer or shorter if given vitamins and mineral supplements and same for if they ate a varied diet
yeah i can kind of see what you mean about people treating them like they are dieing to an extent (but the temp and humidity has kind of been researched to an extent) so others have figured what worked best for longest life of a cbb ball python now just need to take further steps to study and document what foods and other factors work best since we already know perfect environment.

Im not really that interested to know which rodents are best. If anything you wouldnt have to do it with snakes it would just be using the rodents and analyzing their nutrient levels. Which also all depends on their diet. That would be something that could be done probably pretty easily.
Maybe the ones that lived longer just had better genetics. You cant really prove anything with that. Theyre all the same animal but genetics are a huge part of it.
I know the temp and humidity does matter TO an extent. But some people feel it has to be EXACT. Sure drastic changes are bad but a few variations isnt bad...

Don't type anything in a forum that you wouldn't say to someone face to face.
And how about...don't go wildly off topic in threads? Guys?

My got do I agree with lovelace... DO NOT after a night of drinking log on to post a few things before going to bed... it ALWAYS ends up badly!
LOL, 99% of my infraction points came as a direct result of me learning the importance of this rule!
