    Why is she basking belly-up?

My mommy snake has been basking belly-up the past few days like she did when she was gravid. Why is she doing this? Is this normal for 2 months after laying a clutch? She has also been acting kind wierd, i.e. not hanging out in her hide. Keeping to herself in the middle of the tank in a very loose coil. Any ideas?

How big are the rodents you feed? I've even had male snakes do this when they've had a particularily full belly.

She'll eat a good size rat. And since you said that, I thought about it and we fed her just a few days ago. Hopefully thats all it is

Could be a large meal digesting, or it could be a classic case of your snake wants to see you worry. I swear ball pythons do whacko things just to make us tear out our hair. I know for a fact my monitors do it. Wilson once started biting a rock for no reason. Crazy creatures, reptiles.
