Why does she do this?
In her tank she has a log looking hide, made of plastic. Thats her hide on the cool side, and iv noticed the past few days she always has her head and cpl inches of her neck sticking out, in "S" shape. Is she looking for food or waiting for a mouse to come along and strike??

It's a good sign. She's comfortable, and yes, she's lying in wait for prey. They are opportunistic hunters. She isn't necessarily hungry, but she is ready to eat, and will if food happens along.

Re: Why does she do this?
she prolly doesnt feel secure in there, try i hide she can completely fit into with only one opening that is just big enough for her to fit in. how often do u feed? prey size? when did u last feed?
A room full of empty racks and thermostats that have been unplugged.
