Help! I'm in over my head. Please advise.
I got my first ball early this year and got a little too excited. I decided to start breeding and within a month of that decision my collection grew from 1 to 14. BIG mistake! I need to get things back to a number that I can handle.
What is the best way for me to do this? I am thinking about using kingsnake.com. Anyone have any tips on selling?
0.5 Adult Normal
0.2 Baby Normal
1.0 Adult Pastel
0.1 Baby Pastel
1.0 Adult Cinnamon
1.0 Adult Mojave
1.1 Baby Spiders
1.0 Baby Yellow Belly

I would place ads locally in Kijiji (where you can sell animals) if you are not certified with FedEx to ship snakes.
So your market is probably very small (limited to those close enough to pick-up).
What number are you trying to get down to?

Thanks. I will try to post them on there. I would like to get down to 2 or 3.

Re: Help! I'm in over my head. Please advise.
i wouldn't be to worried about using fed-ex to ship snakes i know personally i prefer to send airport to airport for when buying or selling lots at a time as I've had fed-ex loose a few packages for a day or 2 even when they are shipped from the same person might get 1 part the day there suppose to be there then the others might show up a day to 3 days later or at least thats what has happened to me a couple of times in the past
also noticed you said pastel which morph of pastel you got
also if you want to keep just a few to get your feet wet so to speak i myself would keep a few of the babies to raise then breed a few years down the road (mainly this way since like you said your new to ball pythons) this way you get some experience dealing with babies first giving you time to get an incubator at least more if you decide later on you want to expand. it's not really hard to breed and hatch eggs but being new it can seem harder then it is and just like other things some people just aint got the nack for it. or get overwhelmed by it if all goes very good.(then you got way more to care for then you planned on having) or discouraged if stuff goes very wrong (by having most or all die from a few bad beginners mistakes) this way if you take it slow you will set yourself up for success by giving yourself some time to learn the ins and outs of ball pythons in general then stuff about breeding which like said aint really hard but would save you some headaches worrying about if your temps in the bator are right or if the humidity is right. or worrying if and when the eggs will hatch as I'm sure more then 1 person has lost eggs to checking on them all the time there first few times. i know i lost a clutch or 2 my first time (I'm sure due to being new to breeding and hatching. but then again back when i got my feet wet there wasn't all these morphs around or very much info on how to hatch the eggs)

can we see some pics? i have one norm bp right now but im trying to expand and hopefully a couple years down the road breed and expand even bigger but i want to start off with babies bps before i even attempt to breed. that will give me alot of time to research and learn the facts from expirenced breeders and get everything that i nedd.

Folks - be careful when participating in this thread that it doesn't become a sales thread - as that is a violation of our TOS. If you want to inquire about animals - PM the OP.

That was gonna be my suggestion...the OP needs to put an ad in the For Sale section. Someone on here may be interested.

Re: Help! I'm in over my head. Please advise.
My suggestions:
Kingsnake.com - Yes, you'll have to pay for it, but responses are high from this site.
Fauna Classifieds - plenty of traffic here, too.
Kijiji - best site for locals
Hoobly - surprisingly high inquiry rate for the number of views.
Right here, of course. Post an ad in the classifieds here.
Shipping: Use ReptilesExpress. It doesn't require you to become Fed Ex certified. Animals will be shipped via UPS. Be sure to let customers know that it's safest to have the animal held at their local hub for pickup, and not shipped to their door.
You can pick up shipping supplies from Superior Enterprises onlines. Order enough boxes and bags to ship all of the animals you're planning to sell. Order heat and cool packs as well. Heat packs should be no less than 60 hour.
