TLC BBQ Pitmasters :[
I was watching the channel TLC and saw a preview for an upcoming episode of bbq pitmasters... and it really made me mad. To see they are killing, chopping up, and grilling snakes...How can that be legal or humane? I mean maybe in 3rd world countries but in the US?!
I couldn't find the clip :/ But it is very disheartening. Killing and cooking snakes...

They also kill, chop up, and grill chickens. In the South it's very common to eat snake meat. Especially in the rural areas where snakes are usually killed on sight anyway so they don't bite and kill/hurt[to the point of euthanasia] horses/cows/pigs/chickens.
I mean no offense to you and your post, but really if they're going to eat them, I'm ok with it. I guess it's because I'm used to it from my family. Snake and frog meat is quite common to hear about being eaten for me. If they're just going to kill the snake or give false information, then I have a problem with it.

It's rattle snake meat and it is farmed for that purpose. I dont eat it but it is very popular in texas. They also used it in an episode of chopped on the food network. Chicken and beef are farmed and most people dont have a problem eating that so I dont see the difference.
