Re: flees?
By fleas, do you mean mites? Tiny black, moving dots?
If so, try these directions: http://lllreptile.com/info/library/c...h-snake-mites/

I've never heard of fleas attacking snakes. That being said they can be opportunistic little buggers and I've had my fair share of flea-bites from working in a grooming salon (I keep a bottle of flea and tick shampoo in the shower for both my dog and myself. Yes, I've used dog shampoo before, to erradicate fleas. Call it an occupational hazard.) so I wouldn't put it past them to go after your feeders, even f/t if left unattended. Do you feed f/t or live? If live, be aware that flea bites can transmit all sorts of nightmarish problems, including tapeworms (long story, DON'T ASK. Wasn't me.) and I'd be concerned that if you fed a rodent with fleas, any problems from the fleas (such as tapeworms and stuff) could be passed to the snake...but I'm not certain.
Anyone else have any thoughts on that?

Re: flees?
Just read on another about using seven dust in the bedding and stuff for mites I know it kills fleas too, on dogs and cats, this other post put they used it for their snake and the mites all died. Just a thought.

Re: flees?
"In the United States, the last urban plague epidemic occurred in Los Angeles in 1924-25. Since then, human plague in the United States has occurred as mostly scattered cases in rural areas (an average of 10 to 15 persons each year). Globally, the World Health Organization reports 1,000 to 3,000 cases of plague every year." taken from the cdc.
Also note that all fleas are different and can't survive without there respected hosts. ie, there are dog fleas, cat fleas, rodent fleas, etc. etc. A rodent flea can not live off of a reptile nor a human.
