It's pretty funny, though, when you get bit--because it's nothing! It's kinda like, "oh, that's all you got? Ha Ha!"
Lots of BPs, and still not enough!

This is addictive...what did I get myself into?...

On the other hand my husband about 8 years ago had a 4ft male red tail that got stuck on his face. Mainly his left tear duct and the white of his eye and stuck there for an hour.

    Re: Getting bit

I've never been bit by a ball python. But I have been bitten several times by dogs and I'd imagine a snake bite wont hurt that bad.. they dont really have that crushing power that other animals have. And their teeth are razor sharp, i think duller bigger teeth make it hurt more lol I got bit by one of my garfish when i was a kid and i hardly noticed that until it started itching and they seem to have teeth similar to snake teeth.

But I dont think it's very smart to compare pain of a bee sting to pain of .. anything. the pain from a bee sting is just a immune response reacting to the toxins in the venom. And everyone reacts a little differently. Some people bee stings dont hurt much at all and some people they hurt like hell, like me for instance, I have no fear of bees but when I get stung it swells up like a golf ball and hurts worse than when i had a brick fall from 9ft up and land on my head. I actually have a little pet wasp nest in an aquarium next to my fishtank haha.

I guess I just got good reflexes o_o coz I had 28 snakes at one time at one point and got struck at plenty of times, and I'd go catch rat snakes and big fat garters but I always manage to dodge out of the way or grab it before it can land a hit.. I kinda wish Id have failed to dodge and actually got bit by a larger snake I'm curious what it feels like. I'm more afraid of the latching on and coiling than the actual bite.

One more reason NOT to let a snake get anywhere near your face.
