Very nice!! He is one of the Ball Gods. Lol.

So, does he put more than one male in with the female and see which one locks with her first?

We actually asked about that and he said "no, that's just desperation at the end of the breeding season"
Kinda said it with a smile

His incubator is packed to the top and still has a ton of amazing things to hatch this year, i'm sure he will amaze us all again soon.

I hear a lot of people say that Kevin is not the friendliest guy out there but he spent well over 2 hours with us today showing us all this stuff and his excitement to show off his new babies was awesome to see. This guy was going a million miles an hour and just couldnt wait to show us the next thing and the next thing and the next thing..... it's awesome to see that after all those years and all those amazing animals he still feels the same way most of us do when new babies start to pip

Ok i promise to stop kissing Kevins ass now LOL but just wanted to put that out there.

Kevin is a hobbiest at heart - he really does love the animals and the new creations. He and Kara have always been warm and welcoming to me each time I've visited, and even opened their home to me.

Does it work? I can see how more than one male would entice them to breed with the female. Is he worried about fighting? Probably not. I see them as a "I really don't care" species. As long as they are being fed and a place to sleep. Lol.

I don't think he means putting multiple males in with the female at the same time, but rather rotating multiple males in with her.

Re: Yup back to NERD!!! (duw)

Its a pretty cool facility. The first time I went on the tour, I was so overwhelmed with the balls...well actually everything up there I got the chance to talk to kevin twice and he seemed like a pretty cool guy. Seems like he's always joking around, funny things written on the tubs. Me and my dad were cracking up. The first time I had an encounter with him, he was checking me out in the store and asked me what I kept. (I had no idea what "Kevin McCurley" looked like at this stage of time) I told him Ball Pythons and he goes...Oh yeah, I breed many of those, thats a good first snake. I sooner found out it was Kevin and was completely amazed at how "secretive" he was about his identity. If I was Kevin McCurley I would tell people I was KEVIN MCCURLEY.

You weren't kidding about the DUW

No one should have that many totally amazing animals to themselves. I think a raffle is in order

    Thanks for posting!
