    so i bought a rat...

    i bought a small rat for the first time. hopefully it would be able to eat it.
    my bp is around 32 inches.. it should be able to eat it right?

    You should be o.k. with the small rat. In the future when picking out the size of the rat. The rat should bejust a little chubbier than the snakes thickness at its thickest part. You would be surprised how wide their jaws open.

    Your snake could be too skinny to want that size, or it could be perfect.
    Length though means absolutely nothing to the size of prey it can eat

    That's normal to have a big belly after a nice meal! Always go with the widest part of the snake and get a rat the same width or 10-15% of the snake's weight!
