Nice one, I have horrible luck because I go looking for snakes all the time, and I never seem to find them.

Then again I give up rather quickly after I run into several spider webs, I hate the way those things feel.

I hear ya. I've gotten more spider bites in my life than mosquito bites.

Have you tried road cruising. You are then in the cofort of your vehicle. I find 75% of my snakes this way. The only thing I find by walking are rattlesnakes in West Texas. In early spring you can find snakes out durring the day but not in the summer. I go flipping some times, but if you hit the roads about an hour before dusk and a stay out for about an hour after dark you will find snakes on the road.
