If a turtle flips over in wild...........
what usually happens?
How difficult is it for them to flip back over?
I remember when I a box turtle that he always had trouble flipping back over.

I really have no idea. I know I foster a desert tort....(from legal sources)here in AZ. (It is illegal to own them, however the powers that be can foster 1 to you). Anyways....they say you really have to keep an eye on them in case they flip over in the sun as they could die.

They use there necks to flip back over.
Now idk about a 100+ pound tortoise.

I had an old nature show about desert animals on VHS years and years back as a kid.
It showed two male tortoises battling over a female, with one male eventually being overturned by the other.
The loser eventually righted himself.

ahhh .....good to know!! Dominic tipped over and my son found him...(son is 9) and I think he had a heart attack. Talked about it for days so now he is checking on him constantly... I will have to tell him to calm down...lol.
