Pastel Colors
I was looking on Constrictors website today at the Lemon Pastels. I noticed that there seems to be a huge margin for color in pastels. Some look kind of tan, others have orange tones, while other are creamy yellow, and some are even pink. Do pastels sometimes change color as they mature, as in become more or less vibrant?
Are the bright clean colored snakes preferable to the "tan" pastels?
Are the colors variable? Or does the color of the parent pastels dictate the color of the offspring pastels?
Just curious because my current pastel falls into that "tan" category so not a bright clean pattern, but there is a male pastel on that page who is a pinkish color... just wondering why pastels can appear orange, pink, cream, and kinda tan.

Re: Pastel Colors
As pastels get older they brown out, like axanthics. Even my pastel is browning out right now.

Re: Pastel Colors
Okay so they brown out. My male is 3 years old... I think. I'm going to have to sit down with the old owner and fill out "bio sheets" or something.
If you pick out a bright colored pastel will they "brown out" less than a pastel that is already darker in color? I like BPPastel10M17 and BPPastel10M15, but I already have a pastel.. so I guess the point is moot.
Do super pastels brown out or fade as they get older too? I have a super pastel female that is a year or two old.
