How old?
This is probably a really common question how old do Male and Female BPs have to be to mate?
One place said Males 12-18 Months and then it said Females 24-36 just thought I would check here first.

Re: How old?
Hi,
It generally goes more by the weight and condition of the animal rather than just by age.
You really want to wait until the female is around 1500g if you can and in her third winter.

Re: How old?
Males, over 600grams (500 if they're producing "plugs")
Females, over 1500grams, they've been bred at smaller weights but you'll get smaller clutchs, even infertile/slug clutches are higher of a risk...
I've seen/herd of good healthy clutches from 1200 gram females....It's more of preferance if you can wait 1 more season..lol...I have 3 females I'm gonna be breeding 1 is 2500grams, 1 is 1600grams and the last one is a little over 1200grams....
Hope that helps allittle.
