Never underestimate a determined BP
I just got back from a long weekend in Muskoka, Ontario. Guess what I didn't find when I got back?
My yearling BP in his cage.
Nope, came home to an empty tank, with a big hole in the mesh lid. There had been a little hole there, where the probe cord went in, and apparently Baby is now strong enough to tear that into a hole big enough to squeeze himself through.
I found him about ten minutes later behind the laundry hamper (He's not a very imaginative hider), so no big deal, but I now have to get another lid. Never underestimate the sheer strength of a snake determined to get out and explore.

Yet another benefit of tubs...thus far I have yet to have an escapee.
Though I'm sure my crew is just waiting, lulling me into a false sense of security, before a total breakout. Someday I'll come home to a constrictor version of a prison riot, I'm sure.
