Finally got tagged! Pics & blood

Not sure what provoked the strike. He had his head out of his hide when I brought the rats in the room. I had washed my hand and used hand sanitizer before trying to handle him. I slowly rotated his hide up and set it on his water dish and went to go pick him up and BAM!

Took these pics and then went in for round 2. Completely calm when I went back in the second time.

YAY, I finally got tagged! I didn't even feel it when it happened, but the area is a little sore now.

It would take a lot of effort to get my snakes to tag me. Probably have to shove my hand into a mound of ASFs then jingle it around in their tubs, haha. We'll see when I breed and try and take their clutches off them. Most of my snakes are either terrified of me (when I get them), hissy (which I just ignore because it isn't appropriate behavior IMO so I just pick them up and try to make them comfortable), or they tolerate me (all 4 now-a-days).

Yeah, this was the first time for me. My snakes just don't see to want to strike. I really didn't expect it from this one.

Also, where are the pics. I kind of look forward to a snake striking me, I even handled a very aggressive het caramel that a "friend." They let them out on the floor (all 4 snakes) and he tried to hide under the entertainment stand, and everyone was scared of him and didnt want to put their hand under there. I just went in, grabbed him, he hissed, and I thought it was cute, he stopped shortly after and calmed down.

Mind that this "friend" kept 4 snakes of different ages in a 20 gallon tall, and ultimately let them go "into the wild"... in PA... because they had mites, RI, etc...

I don't have any comments about your friend that wouldn't give me an infraction so I'll just keep my mouth shut
