    Re: Poop Location

One of mine always used his humid hide to poo in pee too. I am not sure he has ever been in there for anything else. The funny part is when he leaves it he pulls the cover off. Like he is saying ok clean up needed. The other guy always in the back left corner behind everything the singular most inconvenient spot possible!

As long as they don't poop in the water bowl, it's okay. But pooping in the water bowl, that's just beyond the pale.

Of course. How do you even clean that off?

Mine have been all over the place so far. Well, the one that's gone...

    Re: Poop Location

They poop on the warm side; but why? Well there are numerous possible reasons:

    1. Because it's warm and tickles their colons in that special way that makes them just lose control.
    2. They spend more time there.
    3. It's where their hide is.
    4. It's dark back there in a deep rack.
    5. They just like to poop there.
    6. They like to keep it warm so it is better for painting.
    7. A combination of these.

Personally, I think they poop there because it's warm, dark, and it is where they spend most of their time.

    Re: Poop Location

    Funny poll.
My ball pythons usually poop on the warm side. I have noticed that the corns will poop anywhere BUT the majority of my corns have a particular area that they will poop in, like they've potty trained themselves! Warm or cool side, but the same area per individual snake. Almost as if they keep it in one place as to not slither through it. In fact, some of my ball pythons think they are Picasso and treat their poop like it is paint. I hate it when they do that

OK, that's the most I've ever written about poop.
    Cheers,
    Jessica Gibbs

Not that relevant that I am paying attention to it, all I know is that no matter where it is I have to clean it
