Re: cinny Pewter or black Pewter ?
It's a Black Pewter. You can tell from the squiggly marks around the alien heads. Cinnys don't have those marks only Black Pastels. Remember, when making Pewters your not neccesarily changing the pattern of the Black Pastel, just washing it out a bit.

I say it doesn't matter though, since they are both gorgeous pewters!
I beg to differ. That is just like saying there is no difference between Lavender Albinos and normals Albinos. There are markers for Black Pastels. It is that easy. I am %100 positive that is a Black Pewter. Look very closely and you will see why it is. If you need help look at the field guides. We don't want to mislead people do we?

I said it may be impossible to tell. Not that it always is. I said in my post and I agree that there are times when the difference is obvious. I also agree that the first pewter he posted looks like a Black Pewter. The second, however, lacks the little squiggle marks you are talking about. I have seen black pastels with few to none of those little squiggleys. In my opinion Cinny and Black Pastels are sort of like Mojave's and Lessers. Sometimes the difference is obvious, sometimes it isn't.

I would disagree with your analogy. Cinny and Black Pastel are compatible. Lav albino and T- albino are not. This is why it is confusing. I've seen cinny clutches with what looks like a mix of the two and black pastel clutches with the same results. I personally think they are the same and should be marketed as such. It's all about marketing.
