    When a snake is in blue,or about to shed, the eyes will be a milky grey blue color. they will clear up after a few days and shedding will take place 3-5 days later. I like to soak my snakes in shallow luke warm water for 30 mins the day the eyes are cleared up and usually they shed within 24-48 hours. Hope this helped.

    It almost looks like a retained eye cap (one that did not come off during the last shed). I can't be for certain though. What is the humidity in his enclosure?

    It happens more often than you think. Are you measuring his humidty now? It should be 50% or above.
