anyways, I'm saying female on this one, but the angle needs to be different, and please get someone to show you how to properly, I would hate to see a snake injured

From that pic I'm gonna say female. If you take your right thumb and move it slightly to either side and kind of roll it up towards the cloaca instead of pushing down you'll get a better pop if it's a male. The penes are slightly to either side of the cloaca. Looks like you're putting the pressure right down the middle.

    Re: Is this a male?

Thanks everyone. I thought that it looked a bit differently from what I was taught on. Im just going to take them and get them looked at by someone with more "know how". I tried to do it the way that I was taught but I was really worried about doing too hard and hurting my snake. I just really am curious to know at this point...this snake is also alot bigger than my other and the guy that I got them from says that they were born at the same time. I read that females get much bigger than males most of the time? Im gonna stop popping it though just to be on the safe side. Thanks again.

I say female those look like the scent glands more than hemi peins. But hard to tell sometime those hemipeins just don't want to come out.

Yeah, if you did it correctly, then that's a girl. I don't see any sign of the dark purple color, or any trace of hemipenes there.

    Re: Is this a male?

I bought a bumblebee back in May and it is supposed to be a male. I popped him when I first got him and it appeared very similar to the one you are showing. I've heard that in hatchlings, the peens can be a little more pale then normal.

I decided to pop him again today and it still appears the same way. I gotta go to work here in a bit but I'll post some pics when I get a chance.

If not popped correctly males will pop female. Need to start far enough back to roll the penes out otherwise you get notta.
