    Advice For Upcoming Show

    Hello,

I have never been to a herp show or expo before and I am going on Sunday to the show in NY. I am very excited for my first time and I am sure it will be a lot of fun, however, I have a few questions.

At the show I plan on buying either a Columbian, Nicaraguan, or Hog Island BCI. However, because I do not quite know how these shows work, how do I go about finding one? Where will I know to find something like this? And perhaps most importantly, how do I ensure I don't get scammed. Simply, I do not want to end up with a humongous 12' BCC a few years down the road because a breeder took advantage of my lack of knowledge. I am looking for any information I can that will help me to find a great snake and be happy in the long run.

Take a pen, notepad, camera. Make notes of which vendors have the snakes you are interested in and take pics. It's no fun when you walk around and see a few specimens you are interested in, then cant remember who had what. Go sit down somewhere or grab some lunch, look over your notes and pics and decide what you want...
