Tubs and UTH

I have a reptile show coming up in 2 weeks and I want to get this new tub setup.

1st question. Depending on what the vendors have ill either be getting a snake that is already feeding on small mice or a newborn. I know a 16qt is good for babys. My question is will the 16qt be to small for the slightly larger snake for a few months or should I go with something in the 20qt range and will that be ok either way i go.

2nd question. Being that the room I will keep the snake in is 75-76 constant. IF i felt the need for the cool side to be around 80...would two UTH's work. One for the warmside at 92 and one on the cool side turned down to 80? I know it wont bring up my ambient A HUGE AMOUNT but i think it will work if need just wanted your thoughts.

15/16qt tubs will hold most ball pythons till they are around 700 grams,
although I prefer to move them into large tubs around 500 grams.

One UTH plugged into a thermostat to keep it at 90-92 degrees will sufficiently heat the cool end of the tub in a room with an ambient temperature of 75 degrees.

I use flexwatt heat pads wired into a plug in and plugged into a thermostat.
Flexwatt is $3.60 for 11 inch wide x12 inch long piece that can be cut to any length.
Premade UTH's can set you back over $20 and flexwatt does the same thing
Even after shipping priority flexwatt is much cheaper than premade UTH's.

Don't forget a probed thermometer for reading your temperatures on the cool end and on the hot spot, accurite is a decent one and only around 12 bucks.

For heating: Yes you can use 2 UTH's as long as you have the thermostats to control them separately, but for tubs that small, the UTH on the warm end may keep the ambient temp up as well. Start with one and see how it goes...

For tubs: Why not just buy one of each size and punch the holes in both? If you get a hatchling, you will need the 20qt in a few months anyway. If you get one big enough to start out in the 20qt, then save the 16 qt. You can always find something around the house to store in it. Or use it as an excuse to get a hatchling later on...

Sounds good. I'll just get both sizes. Now as far as the UTH goes I read a lot about flexwatt alll the time. Is it in cable form...or is it in like plastic sheet form with the wires running through it. I only ask cause ive never used it personally.

This might be a stupid question but does flexwatt work with a Reostat or just thermostat?

*EDIT* Haha just found it on their website it can be used with both.
