Ditch the de chlorination bottle. Its not needed at all. If the water is safe for you to drink its okay for him to drink. And if your worried about it let the water sit out for 24hours and that removes chlorine from the water.

i buy gallon jugs of distilled water our tap water was making the water dish all crusty
I know this is an old thread but just want to make a comment about distilled water, been doing some reading about water and as mentioned above by others here you're probably best just letting the water sit for 24 hours. ^^^ i agree...distilled water is so pure, that it actually lacks all the valuable minerals natural water contains..for example..i have a 3 tier waterfall in my monkey tree frog display...i use 20 gallons of distilled water that circulates with a pump..i use this because it leaves no water marks on the glass from splashing..but i have 2 ponds for the frog to soak in the display and i use de-chlorinated water.
