Best way to feed multiple mice/rats
my ball is around 7-8 months at the moment and is 'just' switching over to smaller rats .. problem is the store i buy his food from doesnt always have the correct size rats (usually to big) so i was thinking of just giving him 2 full size mice for a few months (ends up being the same price)
now my question is whats the best way to go about this? let him eat one then wait till its all the way down then toss the second one in?
or should i wait an hour or so then toss the second mouse in?
thanx in advanced
-any tips are always appreciated

Let him get the first one down
Let him re-align his jaw and then throw the second one in

Re: Best way to feed multiple mice/rats
I feed my lesser 2+ mice every week and I simply disturb him twice. He climbs under the newspaper, I grab him out, set him down, bring the food near him, let him hit it, give him an hour, then do it again.
It really depends on the animal but if the prey is smaller than what they're willing to eat the moment they have swallowed the food, they will take another meal.
