    Leopard gecko substrate

    i need a leo substrate other than reptile carpet, paper towels,or tile i dont wanna use anything listed i know other subs are out there but not where help

    Why?

    You can use dessert snow, pack it down really tight (you know, because they have fragile feet and so they don't ingest during hunting). That's probably the only loose substrate I'd use for a leo.

    I'll keep mine on tile though, easy for me and great for them.

    Yeah any loose substrate for leos just isn't a good idea, they don't live on it naturally in the wild, tile, paper towels, etc...are your best bets.

    I would rather have a safe leo than a pretty tank. From what I've noticed, my leo is pretty aggressive when he "hunts" and will just jump, mouth open at the crickets. Imagin if he had sand! *cringe* I use papertowel but the tile option, you could get a nice "sandy" color or something?
