    Babies Are On the Way!

Came home to 3 pipped eggs. And surprise surprise! I bred a snow female to a male normal. Both have unknown genetic backgrounds as they were pet store purchases. 8 good eggs and so far 3 have pipped. I took a quick peek and this one is in the first egg.

    Snow?

The other two eggs have dark babies so they might be normals or they could be anerys. One really looked dark like an anery so I've got my fingers crossed!

Waiting on 6 more to hatch. I think 2 of them are anerys and the other 4 are mysteries so far.

Re: Babies Are On the Way!

So far he's the only one that is trying to bite me. I like it though. He's got some fire and I hope he'll end up being a good feeder.

5 are out. 1 snow, 2 anerys and 2 that look anery-ish but are lighter with redder heads. Normals? The remaining 3 are 1 snow, 1 amel (I think), and the other hasn't slit its egg yet. So so far we have...

    0.0.2 Snow
    0.0.2 Anery
0.0.2 Normals? (but they really do look like anerys though. The red is just throwing me off)
    0.0.1 Amel
    0.0.1 Unknown

Re: Babies Are On the Way!

If there is red, then they aren't anerys. Some anerys can get some browns and pseudo-red color as they age, but as hatchlings, anerys have sliver/gray backgrounds and black saddles. So if they're red, then they're normals - remember normals can have wild variations! Look forward to whole clutch pics.

Congrats on a successful first clutch!
