    Gecko Eggs- In trouble?

    Hi all,

Brought home a pair of Fat-Tailed Gecko eggs from work 55 days ago. One of them grew, the other did not. The small one still looks fine, and when I candle it I'm pretty sure I can still see veins (although it's tough because it has alot of sand stuck to the outside that I can't brush off lightly). The larger egg looked great and candled with nice veins and a dark spot inside when I tried about a week ago. Then all of a sudden 3 days ago, the larger egg really deflated quite a bit and turned an unhealthy shade of brown. I know eggs deflate before they hatch, so I would have been excited, but the colour concerns me. Any advice on how to proceed? Eggs have been incubated at 82-83 degrees, 95-100% humidity for 55 days. Can post pictures later if it would help, but I'm at work right now.

Thanks in advance for any advice anyone can provide.

Nevermind... I ended up cutting the egg, and it was dead. There was a little guy in there but he was very underdeveloped and there was no way it was close enough to hatching time for his egg to have collapsed like that. : (
