Yeah, matter of a person's own personal preference for sure. I am rather rusty and didn't plan to get a mojave myself, but could you tell me what all you could breed out using a mojave? Mainly just the cooler high up morphs plz

Wow, I haven't looked up ball python morphs for some time. I have been busy with my leos and just trying to get what I already own up to weight as the years pass. Any pics of a sulfur? Was that a something......fire morph? also I haven't seen a jigsaw! I am really out of the loop!

That's a hard one. The mojo could give you instant results, but the clown could make some awesome combos. You just have to wait longer to see them if you breed them all your self. It's a tough choice. Good luck!

Actually....

Females are great, and ones that are larger are even greater, because you get closer to breeding. But I'm not a fan of Mojaves.

Clowns are recessive, meaning not everyone is working with them because a lot of people dont like working with hets and possible hets. However recessive often means they will hold their cost a bit longer, meaning you may have room to sell them in the future and not be facing paying 2000 dollars for a snake and then selling them for 300.

But again a male clown doesnt help you make clowns, you cant line breed him to his children 1 or 2 years down the road, you have to wait for the female to get up to size. So if you get him see if you can find a female het at the same time, if not go with the Mojave.

im still trying to decide on what to get . i like the clowns but i have to get a het clown girl or wait till nest season and with the majove girl i can breed this season and with the money i save from not buying the clown i can get a nother morph but the clown is killer im my mind i hate when i have to make a tough decision so please keep voting i got till monday and that when all your help is going to help me decide what to get so keep it up

Think of it this way: You can breed sooner and risk losing the chance to own a snake that you might not have the spare cash for in the future, or you can get the amazing snake and wait to get a female then wait 2/3 years to get her up to size... then claw your eyes out as you watch the price of the clown drop like crazy in that time making you feel like you wasted the money.

And since your Clown is male it would take another 2/3 years before you could line breed him to the offspring if the female werent at least het for clown.

Eggs now... clowns in 4-6 years....

Hrm.... Eggs now.... Clowns later.... Eggs now, trade for Clown next year.... Eggs later, sit around kicking yourself...

can't go wrong with a morph female at breeding size. get a male mystic to go with that and you're in business

i have decided what to get now. i dont know thing might change . but currently with the money that the clown was going to cost i decided to get the 1500 gram female mojave and a 500 gram female spider. hopefully i get them Tuesday or Wednesday. and bring them home to my 800 gram female pastel and later on i plan to get a male lesser to pair him up with all my girls. but there might be a slight chance something happens and i cant the girls ill have the get the clown male i just hope that does not happen. thanks for all the help every one

Do you really want to produce a white snake? Because while I am a big fan of lessers and how attractive they are and a fan of the white snakes, but considering it's a mojave I'd suggest getting a different male to make some cooler crosses. For example a Cinnamon, or a fire, both go well with all the morphs you have.
