Taylor MI?
Never been to a reptile show or expo or any of that but me and the old lady are going to the Taylor MI monthly expo on July 10th looking for an adult female beardie and another snake for daddy. If any of you are going to be there would love to put some faces to names also how is the show? Lisa has went to one before and said it was a lot of fun.
Thanks
Brad

Re: Taylor MI?
I like the Taylor show. It is small, but there are generally nice breeders with some nice animals. I stick to the breeders with nice acrylic display cases. There are some sketchy tables though. Like last month I watched a man pull a young Burms hemipenes out with a set of tweezers. I've been to the last two shows, averaging only about an hour or two there total each time. It's small enough to where I walk around and see everything, buy what I want and leave. Don't know if I will be attending the July show, but it's a possibility.

Re: Taylor MI?
I went to the show in June and got a Anery corn from a great breeder. Like a lot of the other posters have said, it is small and very...quaint, lol. Yeah it's not the cleanest place in the world and sometimes it's not even all reptiles either. There was a couple selling lab puppies out of a cardboard box righ smack dab in the middle of all the snakes and what not. I need to convince my old lady that BP's are not as scary as she thinks they are and I'll probably make the trek from Tecumseh to Taylor in July.

Re: Taylor MI?
Its a shady place, and not clean. I get many emails from local about RIs and Mites after going there getting new snakes.
Id say look but dong touch or buy. Stick to someone through online, which will minimize contamination. Im a huge germ OCD and being around many many snakes no qt, sickness, mites and possibly IBD i just wont risk it.

Re: Taylor MI?
i go to the shows all the time , i have not encountered any of the problems i do agree there are one or 2 guys there that i wouldnt deal with but 98% of the folks are real cool to deal with. there new location is clean open and inviting. i have seen some very high end ball morphs there and the guys bringing them know what their doing so they must feel its safe for their collection which are worth some big bucks. jmo
