I have always wanted to know wether that can cause problems or not as well... I always worry itll get inhaled and cause a repiratory infection, I would wait until someone who knows gives you a good answer to this one before you tried anything...

If it is stuck, I would try and remove it, if your snake is swallowing it, it will be fine. If you need to remove it, you can use a small pair of tweezers, just be careful not to injure the snake with them.

    Re: one ?

I have heard both, that it does and doesn't. I'm of the mind that erring on the side of caution is always better.

I agree w/ Ham though. Wait for someone more experienced to answer

If you're gentle and quick, you can get it out--open her mouth with a speculum (or a tongue depressor, or a rubber cake spatula) very gently, and grab it with some tweezers. You may need someone to give you hand with it. Watch out for the teeth, they're fragile and you don't want to break any.

Don't take too long about it, or being manhandled might cause her to regurgitate.

Substrate ingestion is nothing to worry about.

If it's stuck in her mouth, go ahead and remove like above.
