How to remove adhesive liquid crystal thermometer?

I realized today that when I was setting up my terrarium yesterday I put one of the thermometers in the wrong place. I tried to peel it off but it started splitting in half so I decided to do no further damage to it and seek help.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

While you are at it, throw it away and get an Accurite thermometer!

    Beer for you too

Or you could just get a temp gun from Reptile Basics

I get them off with a razor blade, just wear gloves in case you lose grip. If you just slide the razor blade behind it, it usually comes off fairly easily. It is impossible to use the razor blade knifes, they are too bulky and don't lay flat, just use the blade from the knife, that is why I say wear gloves. You can then use the blade and get the rest of the sticky residue off of the cage.

Goop-Be-Gone. Removes nearly any adhesive. Just get one edge started up, spray some of it in, and nudge it.

It removes lumps of tree sap, bumper stickers, you name it. It took tiles up, lol. Plus, I don't think those are very accurate, so you might want to discard it and use a better thermometer.
