    Live mouse to f/t rat

Should I switch to f/t first or rats first? Or just both at once?

The 650g female eats live mice fine, sniffed all over the f/t rat, but decided against it. The 900g live mouse/asf-er male should be going back on feed around now, but didn't go for it either. Both responded very well to tossing a little dirty mouse bedding in there.

Am I trying to change too much at once?

If I heat up the head of the rat, is that releasing too much rat smell for a mouser? Can I do without it if that is the case?

Re: Live mouse to f/t rat

My ball python is picky too, she doesnt want her rats at all, she only eats her mice, if the snake keeps refusing the thawed rats, try a live rat, if that works maybe the snake will learn rats are food too and then you might be able to switch over to thawed rats as well.
