    Going away this weekend, few questions.

    So I just had a quick question.
    I'm going away soon, and will be gone thursday to sunday. I already worked out the plans on what to do with my snake. I'll be changing out her water before I leave for the weekend, as well as mist down her cage, and spot clean. I have my dad, who will be more then happy to mist down the cage while I'm gone. So my question is, will her water be fine until I come back sunday (I would have my dad do it, but I'm worried that if he doesn't lock up her cage correctly, she might get out), and also, I fed her yesterday(sunday), next feeding day will be friday. But I'll be gone, should I feed her thursday before I leave, or should I feed her when I come back sunday? Or should I just wait until wednesday to feed her (which would be the next technical 5 days from friday). I was thinking of just feeding her thursday before I left so I know she'd be fed, and I wouldn't stress about how she's doing.
    Also, any advice on what I can do before I leave would be great.

    snakes are the best pets to have for just this reason. you CAN leave them for a couple of days as long as they have enough water. think of them in the wild... do they always have fresh water served up for them every day.? Yes they can roam to fresh water, but sometimes during dry seasons, that isn`t an option. Your snake will be just fine. make sure there is plenty of water.... If your snake likes baths, give it a bath. they tend to drink plenty of water in the tub to last for a couple days. I am not an expert, but I have owned snakews for around 7 or so years, so I would say you are pretty safe.

    One suggestion is, never tell anyone you are leaving using online forums of any kind, be it here, Twitter, Facebook, etc.

    I personally would skip this weeks feeding. If you are leaving the same day you are feeding, you don't know what could happen in the next few days. Will dear old Dad remove a regurged rat?

    It will not hurt the snake to skip a feeding.

    I usually add another bowl of water, in case one happens to get soiled. I also skip the feeding right before I leave...

    Okay. I have another little dish I can add in for water just as a precaution. I think I'll skip the feeding before I leave, just incase she might regerg (even though she hasn't yet). So should I feed her when I get back?

    Why would she regurg? Even if she did, there is nothing you could do if you were there other then clean it up.

    Just feed her right before you leave and enjoy your vacation (is it a vacation?).

    Re: Going away this weekend, few questions.

    Thanks for the tips. I plan on feeding her at midnight tonight. Because I'm going to be really crunched for time tomorrow. Also, I noticed she's actively roaming her tank (it's night time), I think she might be hungry. So I'll see if she'll take it, I'm sure she will, she loves to eat. XD I plan on filling her one water bowl with a rather decent amount(but not to much). I was gonna do the whole two water bowl thing, but the other one I have, I put into a very mild bleach water solution, and I don't think it'd be safe for her. She's never solid her water, so I'm sure she'd be fine, and even if she did, I know my dad will change it for me. And yeah, I normally never post when I'm going away, but it slipped my mind this time. ^^;;

    And it's kinda like a vacation I guess. It's more like a geek convention. X3
