Re: Something special about this one...
I have a clutch just out and 2 of them have the same White scales down the back and the odd one on the head. I just assumed it was normal. Love to be proved wrong though

The white spots will be gone after the first shed.

Re: Something special about this one...
Thanks for the info. Any info on the short snout? Look like a genetic thing or most likely due to the condition of the egg?

Re: Something special about this one...
I had never seen that before. I have an adult male with what looks like one missplaced white scale on his lower back, but the speckling down that hatchling's back is just neat.

Well, if it goes away, it goes away. But if you could breed for more black and the white speckles, you'd come out with something really cool!
I wouldn't think the snout is genetic, but there isn't really a way to tell, is there? Will that hold you back from breeding him? If it doesn't really affect him, I'd go ahead and see. And as I've said, I think it's worth it for the cool back!
Yeah, I'd be real interested to see what he could produce...

Don't know what or why they are there but the white spots will be gone after the first shed.

It will definitely go away. If you rub it a little it will wipe off.

I don't doubt that you are right about them going away with the first shed..but I've tried to wipe them off several times and they aren't rubbing off at this point any more than the black or brown scales on him would rub off.
