    Wink Mithril's Mystery Clutch...solved?

    Original thread here!

Today is day 49. The eggs are beginning to dent. One egg in particular was starting to look kind of funky so I went ahead and made a small window and this is what I saw. Any guesses? I'm hoping pastels..ha

PS. I know some of you really don't like cutting eggs. That's cool. I realize people all have different opinions. But let's keep the thread drama free, eh?

'Grats! I hope you get a clutch of 0.5 pastels. It's great her eggs are all healthy and hatching, what with the whole weight problem and all.
Just 0.1 normal BP, 1.0 mojave, 0.1 California King, 0.1 Saharan sand boa, ~20 hermit crabs, a Patriot crab, 5.0 rats, and a herd of mice and ASFs

At day 49 there is still loads of color that has to come in I'd wait and see when it' comes out.. I've got a normal in the egg right now that looks very peach and orange but it's just a normal and it's on day 53..

Just wait it's too soon to tell..

I think the day the eggs will hatch varies by incubator. Some incubators distribute heat more evenly and at a more constant temperature. Incubators such as those would have a faster incubation time vs an incubator that didn't distribute heat well or evenly. I'm only going based upon what I know and what I've been told by other breeders. But every incubator is different. His eggs might be completely fine coming out at day 49, but I wouldn't suggest cutting until the first egg pips. Just my standard.

I never said they weren't Ok to clip..I may have not made myself clear..That snake might not be fully developed at day 49 based on to many factors. Because of that the color you see in the egg might not be the color it is when the snake hatches completely..

I didn't mean anything by that. I was just making a point that the snake may very well be that developed, maybe not. Probably not, but it's possible. Thanks for clearing things up though.

Great advice! I am still hoping for some pastels but you're completely right, it probably is too soon to tell. Wish me luck I'm still excited, though, even if they are just normals.

Her And this egg was looking strange, that's the only reason I cut it.
