My New kingsnake escaped, A lil bit of help please?!!?

After i bought my new kingsnake for my gf's birthday, she went to give him to drink at night and probably left the enclosure open and we didnt find him in the morning. we searched all the house and couldn't find him. after 2days i putted the heatmat on the floor and the small viv on it and put a pinky there. in the morning i found the pinky on the floor near the kitches.

at first i tought it was my german shepherd. but the enclosures opening is too smal for his mouth and the viv was still in place and not moved. also the pinky was still whole and i didnt find any bites or signs of bites. My gues is the snake ate the pinky , the dog so him and went to small him, he regurged and went to hide again.

is there something i can do to catch the snake back? i had alot of snakes escapes but i always found them by the next day. this one is very good at hiding probably because he's so small. i heard about some bottle trap were he can't get out?

anyone please some ideas/traps how to catch him ?
