    Platty???

Didn't know if I should put this under breeding or morphs/genetics.

Any way, I made a mistake while identifying the babies in my lesser x lesser clutch. The last one still in the egg was labeled a BEL. This would give me 3 bel's and a normal sib.

The one taking it's sweet time coming out the egg has pattern!!!

I think this is a platty like the original platty daddy. I emailed Ralph Davis to see what he thought.

I caught a glimpse of it's tail and neck. It shows pattern. I hatched 2 lessers in 2008. This little gem is way lighter/whiter!

The pic from when I cut the eggs.

The stubborn rock star! Come out of the egg already!

The 2 BEL's in the baby rack.

    Re: Platty???

I got a response from Ralph Davis. He said that lesser x lesser shouldn't produce platinums. He also said that crazy things are possible with lessers.
He also wants me to keep him informed about the "Rock Star" baby.

    Re: Platty???

Wow, you might have something very interesting on your hands! Definitely post pics when it comes out!

The body looks white in your picture, but maybe it is just from the flash? Is there pattern on the body, or just on the head? I've seen a few super mojave hatchlings with some pattern to them, maybe this is a similar variation in a super lesser? I don't think it's possible to produce a platinum in a lesser x lesser breeding, but maybe this animal will prove me wrong!

    Re: Platty???

    Thanks everyone!

We'll just have to wait until this one comes out for a better look.

FYI I suck at taking pics! LOL Time for me to learn how to properly use a camera or invest in a better one.
