    well I rehomed my boa

well after having her for over 6 years ( i removd the sanke from under a home in longneck Delaware) she was bearly 4ft long. I finally rehomed her with a good friend cause Iam unable to phyically handle her she too large and heavy withmy back and knees both bothering me . I feel so heavy hearted a bout doing this to her, she was a great pet in the 5+ years I had her but it was just too much on my back and legs to get down no the floor and clean her cage and handle her ( specialy getting out of the floor.with her extraa 20-30 lb ).. I know she will be treated well and havea more proper diet of piglets and rabbit ( wit hthe stray large rat) It was hard press to feed her some time since she down 2-3 large rats in a single meal and I was not able ot keep up wit hthe production betwee nher and the ball pythons needs. ( I can switch dow nto asf rodents and buy rat pups as I need) so I down to 19 snakes and it mostly bps.

You did a good thing for her. Always sucks giving up a pet, and boas are such a nice snake to have around.

At least you can keep the food more specific to smaller to medium sized snakes now.

I know how it feels to have to re-home a pet, but take comfort in knowing that you found her a good home...

I know how rough it is to have to give up your pets...I'm actually having to find new homes for all my snakes...But at least he's got a good home, where you can visit.

that sucks man if i had a way to you i take all your ball pythons in. most my collection is rescued snakes that people had to give up. i have rehomed some but the rest i kept so far.theones i keep are either problem eaters or have other issues and they are not in my book good to adopt out. most are getting better over the last year or so working with them.

Re: well I rehomed my boa

I just recently had to rehome my two normal ball pythons due to some tough times in my life right now. They went to a good home. I gave them to a friend of mine that has 31 ball pythons in his collection so I know they went to someone who knows how to care for them. I feel bad for giving them away yet I am comforted knowing that they are being well cared for. It really sucks when you have to give up a beloved pet.
