    Loose stool question.

I have a female ball python that does not refuse a meal, hisses like an alley cat, gaining weight but has loose foul stool issues.

Do you know why a ball python would have loose foul stool? Can you give a reason or two? Thanks alot.

They also seem to have loose stool when they've been off feeding for a while and eat again and then they do what they gotta do and the first time they stool again might come out loose

    Re: Loose stool question.

How often are you feeding her? Over feeding, or feeding too often will also cause loose stools. Give us some details on her size, feeding schedule, and husbandry.

    Re: Loose stool question.

good answer drew as I was like...uuuuuuuuummmmmmmm!!

I would take in a stool sample to your local herp vet. Mine does it for free...so I cannot imagine that taking it in would cost much at all.

    Re: Loose stool question.

In order for us to give you an accurate solution, you have to taste it and let us know if it is sweet or salty... This is very important!!

Just kidding! I would take a stool to a herp vet like it has been said by other members here.
