    Most of the captive hatched reds we've encountered actually prefer dead or f/t food items left in the enclosure..

    nice they do like a hug the bloods.

    I would certainly consider trying to get it on to F/T especially considering the size of prey it will require fully grown.

    I have bloods that prefer off the tongs and others that just like them left in the tank over night they all eat. You might want to try blasting the rats at the head with a hair dryer prior to offering to get a better response but I would deffo go F/T imo with bloods.

    My blood will eat frozen thawed, but I have to leave it in front of his hide at night and he will eat it sometime after I leave...

    He must think the frozen rat fairy is visiting him once a week...
